At World Changers United, we are driven by a deep commitment to humanity and the well-being of people around the globe. As we witness the suffering resulting from conflicts, such as the ongoing situation in Ukraine, our hearts go out to those affected—especially the children and families caught in the crossfire. The challenges they face, from the loss of homes to limited access to clean water, nutrition, and education, highlight the urgent need for compassion and support.
We believe that every act of kindness can make a significant difference. Our mission is to transform narratives of despair into stories of hope and resilience.
By building a community of changemakers, we empower individuals to take action, advocating for a world where every person has the opportunity to thrive. Join us in this vital journey to foster unity, enhance access to essential resources, and uplift those in need. Together, we can create a brighter future—one step at a time.
At World Changers United, we are deeply committed to creating positive change, starting with ourselves. We understand that the key to a better world lies in individual growth, compassion for one another, and the courage to stand together.

Shelly Ferrée
Chief Inspiration Officer (aka The Boss)
Meet Shelly Ferrée, the energetic Chief Inspiration Officer of World Changers United. More than just a leader, Shelly is a beacon of resilience and transformation. Her journey embodies the power of self-care and understanding one's true purpose, enhanced by a series of personal trials and triumphs.
Shelly's marketing genius was exemplified during her time with McDonald's, where she led the Extra Value Menu advertising strategies in collaboration with Davis Ellen Advertising. She drove Extra Value Menu sales in Portland, making it one of the top-performing markets, contributing to the creation of the first co-branded burger, the KC Masterpiece. This innovative spirit continued when her then-fiancé, Steve, bought a Mr. Rooter Plumbing franchise in December 1999. Shelly officially joined him in 2001 as Mrs. Rooter, bringing her wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the venture.
In 2009, Shelly attended the National Mr. Rooter Conference in Las Vegas, where she and Steve accepted the Franchise of the Year award for the 2008 results—an amazing achievement during a dismal year for the economy in which many businesses failed. The profound loss of Michael Jackson during this time deeply affected Shelly and the world, stirring both her emotions and physical state. This experience became pivotal for her, motivating her to embrace change and resonating with the message of “starting with the man in the mirror,” a sentiment echoed by Janet Jackson as she honors her brother’s legacy. Shelly would later identify Las Vegas as a hub of spirituality for her. Sixteen years after Michael Jackson’s death, Janet announced a series of performances between now and May 31 in Las Vegas. Inspired by this moment, Shelly manifested a vision for Janet to perform a tribute, integrating a powerful message for World Changers United’s mission. She proposed a poignant initiative of 90 seconds of silence, aimed at inspiring the world to reflect and make a meaningful change. This synchronicity deepened Shelly's connection to Las Vegas.
Shelly draws inspiration from several influential figures who have shaped her life: Michael Jackson, whose artistry and message of self-reflection resonate deeply with her; Princess Diana, whose life and legacy of compassion and empathy profoundly inspire Shelly. Diana's ability to connect with those in need, her dedication to humanitarian causes, and her own struggles with personal challenges resonate with Shelly as she navigates her path. Shelly even modeled Princess Diana’s wedding dress for her own wedding, honoring a woman who also faced scrutiny and heartache in the public eye. Additionally, Diana's tragic loss left a lasting impact on Shelly, reinforcing her commitment to making a difference in the world. Other celebrities, such as Elton John, Denzel Washington, Kevin Costner, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and country greats like Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Combs, have also contributed to her inspiration and drive.
Yet, her journey has been marked with profound challenges, including facing the traumatic impact of a brain injury and dealing with the loss of her parents. A particularly pivotal moment came during a manic episode in 2009, where Shelly gained perspective on her relationship with her husband. This period led her to confront and navigate a complex landscape of family dynamics, mental health struggles, and personal growth.
During a dark time, Shelly faced significant challenges with the side effects of an antipsychotic medication that left her feeling suicidal for six months. She remembers those days, pulling the covers over her head while wearing her favorite Natori pajamas, with her beloved dachshund, Winston, by her side. They had rescued him after he broke his back, and his presence provided her with comfort during that difficult period.
Today, as Chief Inspiration Officer, Shelly focuses on empowering others through various initiatives, including “Shelly’s Escapes,” spiritual retreats, and her new projects such as her wine label and restaurant. She envisions a future where she collaborates with notable figures, believing that Janet Jackson will pay a heartfelt tribute to her brother and that Kevin Costner will direct her story, which she feels should be told beyond the confines of typical film narratives.
Shelly’s new initiative, "Keep the Faith with Shelly," extends World Changers United’s mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to help individuals confront their pain and fears, fostering the mindset to live authentically and fully. She emphasizes the importance of living in the moment and shifting priorities, understanding that life is not a dress rehearsal. Through all her endeavors, she aims to inspire a positive shift, encouraging others to embrace their life's journey.
Moreover, as she reflects on her past, Shelly acknowledges the challenge of navigating family issues and the manipulation she encountered, particularly with her brother's actions regarding power of attorney over their mother. She believes that sharing these experiences can help others understand the impact of gaslighting and emotional abuse and encourages setting healthy boundaries.
While she acknowledges the cruelty of certain dynamics in her life, her commitment to kindness and respect prevails. Shelly firmly states, “Being spiritual does not mean being a doormat; I’m not bending over for anyone.” She reiterates that the question of whether the glass is half empty or half full is not a question at all; it is a choice. Together, with a smile at a time, we will change the world!
At 63, Shelly feels vibrant and energized, with a life purpose defined by her mantra: “It’s not just about the destination, but the journey we take together.” She believes that Michael Jackson had it right when he said, “I’m starting with the man in the mirror.” By changing ourselves, we can change the world! If we can make a positive shift, just think of the ripple effect we can create. Together, let’s change the world one smile at a time! 🌻😇🦋
